For my Rei pullover (Rav link/Payhip link), I worked the sample sweater with crochet bobbles, but I recognized that not everyone would want to do this. So, I tested out a bunch of different bobble options, and found that this 3-stitch knitted bobble is the closest in size.
Knitted 3-stitch Bobble Directions:
Step 1: [k1, yo, k1] all into the same st, turn work
Step 2: p3, turn
Step 3: k3, turn
Step 4: p3, turn
Step 5: sl1, k2tog, psso
And now you have a bobble! <3
